Pakistan International Airlines
In 1947, following a series of meetings between the most wisest and far-seeing diplomats living and working in India, the world got a new country. India was divided into two separate countries-India and Pakistan. Still, that statement does not reveal the full significance of that division. The country given the name Pakistan was originally two separate territories. One territory touched the eastern border of India, and a second territory touched the western border of India. Residents of Pakistan soon looked for a way to travel quickly from one territory to the other. Their search for a form of rapid transportation led to formation of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). Today, the pilots working for the PIA do not always fly within Pakistan, and they do not always fly over India. Today the pilots working for PIA fly into and out of cities in the United States, in Canada, in the United Kingdom, in Ireland and in other parts of Europe. They also fly into and out of cities in South Asia, East Asia and the Persian Gulf region. A flight from Pakistan to the United States can not be made in a short period of time. Such a flight takes close to 20 hours. For that reason, PIA has decided to provide its pilots with accommodations in the U.S. The PIA management has purchased the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City. PIA also owns the Scribs Hotel in Paris. Pakistan International Airlines provides tourists around the world with better access to the most noteworthy points within Pakistan. Pakistan International Airlines offers the only non-stop flight from London to Karachi. Passengers on PIA flights also sit on planes that touch down in Lahore, in Islamabad, in Rawalpindi, in Pashawar and in Quetta. Some PIA flights carry tourists to the starting point for a train ride in the Khyber Pass. Other PIA flights take tourists to points in northern Pakistan. A few PIA flights follow a flight plan detailed by a tourist's specially selected travel package. Most passengers on a PIA flight enjoy the sort of hospitality one finds throughout Pakistan. The attendants on a PIA flight are shining examples of generosity. The airplane passengers are always well fed. Passengers on a PIA flight benefit from the airline's improved security. Since the bombings in London, flights out of the United Kingdom have had especially tight security. PIA strives constantly to live up to its new slogan: "Come fly with us." PIA offers an Awards Program and a Plus Program. Those who join such a program can get free tickets. They also enjoy PIA's curbside check-in services. Even those who remain on the ground, after putting cargo on a PIA flight appreciate the services offered by PIA. They can take advantage of the cargo tracking services. PIA wants each passenger to have a pleasant trip. PIA seeks to assure the satisfaction of each person who has secured a ticket on a PIA flight. PIA hopes that no one will forget or discount the airline's former slogan: "Good people to fly with." For further Readings, Please visit Asian Women Magazine
